Position Overview: As a Composite Technician, you will play a crucial role in the manufacturing of our high-performance boats, utilising infusion and Resin Transfer Molding (RTM) lamination processes. This full-time position requires a deep understanding of composite materials and advanced lamination techniques to ensure the structural integrity and quality of our vessels.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Perform infusion and RTM lamination processes with precision and accuracy. 

  • Prepare molds and tools for composite manufacturing, ensuring all materials and equipment are ready for use. 

  • Apply and monitor resin infusion and RTM techniques, ensuring proper distribution and curing. 

  • Inspect and verify the quality of completed laminates, identifying and correcting any defects. 

  • Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures. 

  • Collaborate with engineers and production teams to optimise processes and improve product quality. 

  • Document and report on the lamination process, including material usage and quality control measures. 

 

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in composite manufacturing, specifically infusion and RTM lamination processes. 

  • Strong knowledge of composite materials, resin systems, and lamination techniques. 

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality standards. 

  • Proficiency in using hand tools and machinery related to composite manufacturing. 

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. 

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team. 

  • Commitment to safety and adherence to all safety guidelines and procedures.
